Every golf shot begins from the same place.
Address.
It is a moment of stillness before movement — a position defined by posture, alignment, and intent. For Niaro, it also became a point of departure for design.
Traditional performance apparel often begins with movement. Stretch. Recovery. Breathability. Range.
Those things matter.
But before a garment moves, it has to sit correctly.
Edition I was developed around that distinction.
The position of the arms at address informed the construction of the sleeve. Rather than allowing the sleeve to fall from a conventional angle, a considered 10° orientation follows the natural position of the arms when set over the ball.
The adjustment is subtle.
That is intentional.
Good design does not always need to announce itself. Sometimes the smallest change in geometry can alter how a garment feels before the wearer consciously understands why.
Proportion was approached with the same consideration.
The body was extended to provide additional coverage and establish a cleaner line through the torso. Not longer for the sake of difference, but proportioned around the realities of wearing a golf shirt through hours of play.
At the hem, a discreet silicone grip provides additional stability, helping the garment maintain its intended position as the body moves.
Three decisions.
Length. Angle. Stability.
None exists independently.
Together, they reflect a larger idea: performance does not have to begin with technology added to a garment. It can begin with the garment itself.
Its pattern.
Its proportion.
The relationship between fabric and body.
The way a sleeve falls before a club is ever taken back.
Golf apparel should understand the game it is designed for.
For Niaro, that understanding begins at address.
