Defined Through Refinement
In an industry that often prioritizes volume over consideration, the process behind Edition I followed a different path.
Each decision—material, structure, proportion—was approached deliberately. Not as a feature to be added, but as a problem to be resolved. The objective was not to produce another polo, but to refine what a polo should be.
The fabric was selected for balance: structure without rigidity, softness without compromise. The fit required continuous adjustment—subtle changes to length, shoulder alignment, and taper—until it moved naturally without excess or restriction. Even the angle of the sleeve was reconsidered, not for aesthetics alone, but for how it performs through motion.
These decisions were not immediate. They required iteration, restraint, and, at times, choosing against convenience.
Large-scale production often demands efficiency at the expense of detail. Over time, this leads to garments that prioritize trend or output rather than function and longevity. Familiar silhouettes become diluted. Purpose becomes secondary.
Edition I was developed in contrast to that approach.
Not through reinvention, but through refinement.
The first expression of this approach is Signature Solids—a study in balance, consistency, and essential form. Each piece reflects the same discipline applied throughout the process: considered structure, controlled movement, and a focus on what endures.
Nothing is excessive. Nothing is accidental.
Every element exists because it serves a purpose.
